Dichlorotrifluoromethylpyridine

The use and synthesis of dichlorotrifluoromethylpyridine. It is prepared by using 2-amino-5-methylpyridine as raw material, firstly chlorinated, then diazotized, and reacted in the presence of CuCl to obtain 2,3-dichloro-5-trichloromethylpyridine, and then reacted with hydrogen fluoride to obtain the product. It is also possible to use 2-chloro-5-methylpyridine as raw material, first chlorinate the side chain to obtain 2-chloro-5-trichloromethylpyridine, then further chlorinate on the ring to obtain 2,3-dichloro-5-trichloromethylpyridine, and then fluorinate with hydrogen fluoride to obtain the product. The preparation method is to use 3-methylpyridine as raw material in the presence of a catalyst, chlorination and fluorination to produce this product. It is also possible to use 2-chloro-5-trichloromethylpyridine for cyclic chlorination to obtain 2,3-dichloro-5-trichloromethylpyridine, and then fluorinated with hydrogen fluoride to obtain the product.
